Girls on the run is returning to Moorlands for 2024 and registration is now open!
The Girls on the Run Spring 2024 Season is right around the corner, and we will once again be a host school at Moorlands! We have always had a great turnout at Moorlands and I’m so excited that we can continue the program this year!
The GotR program is:
- designed to enhance girls’ social, psychological, and physical skills and behaviors with research-based lessons that teach critical life skills like managing emotions, helping others, making intentional decisions, and resolving conflict.
- delivered by volunteer coaches who complete extensive training focused on fostering an inclusive environment, celebrating individual achievements, and creatively integrating movement in a fun and motivating way.
- modified with safety protocols so coaches can seamlessly transition to virtual programming should the need arise due to COVID-19 risk or inclement weather.
The 8-week season runs from the week of March 25th through the week of May 20th with a celebratory 5K fun run at Renton Memorial Stadium to cap off the season. Our practices will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays, right after school from 3:45-5:15pm. Connection and teamwork build confidence and resilience in our participants. Girls on the Run provides a safe and inclusive space to thrive and flourish—register your child today!
