Mustang Memo - 10/21/22

Happy Friday Mustangs~

This coming Monday some of our staff, students and families will be celebrating Diwali.  Diwali, or Dipawli, is India’s biggest and most important holiday of the year.  The festival gets its name from the row (avali) of clay lamps (deepa) that Indians light outside their homes to symbolize the inner light that protects them from spiritual darkness.  During the festival, people light up their houses and shops with Diya (small cup-shaped oil lamps made of baked clay).  Families celebrate with prayer and special meals, as well as wearing traditional clothes.

Thank you Mustang families for your generous donations to the sock and underwear drive.  Moorlands is donating more than 620 pairs of new socks and underwear to Treads & Threads!  They are truly grateful for the amazing contribution.  Talk about Mustang PRIDE!!!

Until next week,
Meghan Griffin, Principal (mgriffin@nsd.org
LaTisha Joseph, Assistant Principal (ljoseph@nsd.org)
