Track and Field

Sign-Up Checklist: 

1. Register online or return the hard copy with payment (EXACT CHANGE PLEASE) to the Moorlands office. 
2. Complete and return the Emergency Form at the beginning of our 1st practice. 

Online Registration Information: 

• The online registration fee for Elementary Sports is $45.00 (including a $1.95 convenience fee). 
• Payment can be made through the Northshore School District’s online program, Touchbase. If you need help with your username or password, please call the Moorland main office at (425) 408-5100. 
• Families eligible for the Free and Reduced Lunch program can register for FREE by completing the application and consent form found on the Food Services page: Free and Reduced Lunch Program. Once qualified, register your student(s) on Touchbase for a $0 fee. For questions, contact Food Services at 425-408-7657. 

Paper Registration: 

• Required if paying by check or cash. Hard copies are available HERE. If qualifying for the Free and Reduced Lunch program, remember to check the box and sign the registration form. 

Students will not be allowed to participate without online/paper registration and a returned emergency form. 

All forms can also be found on the Elementary Sports Website.

All track updates and information will be communicated through ParentSquare.  Please make sure you have ParentSquare set up as soon as possible.

Practices will start on Tuesday, 4/15, and be held:
Tues in the Gym 3:45-4:45
Thurs in the Field 3:45-4:45

Meets will start on April 29th and will be held on Tuesdays. Once the meets start, we will only have practices at Moorlands on Thursdays. 

Start time for all meets: 5:00 p.m.
Please arrive by 4:40 p.m.

For each track meet, each athlete has the opportunity to participate in 1 field event, 1 running event AND be on a relay team. Some events have a limited number of participants and we do our best to get everyone a chance to try the events they want. Below are the events for track meets:

Field Events
● High Jump
● Long Jump
● Triple Jump
● Ball Throw
● Ball Kick

Running Events
● 440
● 50-yard dash
● 75-yard dash
*220-yard pursuit relay

Students are responsible for transportation to and from all meets. Please try to arrive no later than 15 minutes prior to the start of the meet. We use this time to make sure all relay teams are accounted for and make new teams if needed. Meets are approximately 90 minutes in length.
